Play date!

Wow, I didn't know I would be so busy during retirement. We had a play date with some other Greyhounds plus something called Poodle. But first we had to get back in the white box & go for a ride. Again, I got so excited that I just started whining. I couldn't help it. It's all so stimulating & I have to tell everyone about it. My foster mom was surprised because I am very quiet at the house... except when that Tasty Kitty sits & stares at me while I'm trying to relax in my bedroom. (Honest, that's her real name not my description of her.) Anyway, I guess I was a little annoying for a while but then I realized we had a long ride ahead of us so I settle down for a nap.

Wow, what fun. I got to see new people & a few different types of funny looking dogs. It was just us Greyhounds plus a poser, the Poodle, in the yard together. The other dogs were walking by. I ran to the fence to meet them. They all seemed nice & I think I wouldn't mind it if my new family had some non-Greyhounds.

After that we were tired but I wasn't so tired that the idea of going for another ride didn't get me excited again. I quickly climbed into the white box & then told everyone how exciting it was. This time though I was getting used to riding so my whining talking didn't last long. The other dogs just got in, laid down & went to sleep. So I decided to ride the rest of the way home like they do. "Home" sounds so nice. I hope I get my own forever home soon.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention that a met a person in funny fur. Foster mom said it was a uniform not funny fur. He's called a policeman. He stopped to say hi when he saw all us Greyhounds playing. He seemed really nice and said he wants his own Greyhound one day soon.  Hmmm... maybe a man in uniform would be a good choice for me.

Here are some pics of our visit:

My roommates are in back left & that's my new Poodle friend front right.
I'm the black houndie on left with two other new friends, plus my Poodle buddy. We're on our way back from getting a drink.
So there I was posing pretty for the camera when a blur of white came by. It was my roommate, Soleil.
